Raven Fledgling and the Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival

We have been watching the raven fledglings for a week now. The young are notorious bad fliers for up to 5 weeks and might fall prey to predators. Not on our watch. We are keeping eye on this fledgling from our deck. They are quiet during the night and vocal during the day. Both parents and young are on constant patrol for each other. Of course, meals are still served on a regular basis.

The Sunshine Coast is gorgeous right now. The look of summer shines in the gardens, the townships are bustling with curious guests from afar and the sheer beauty of the Coastal Forest and Pacific Ocean draws out the best in all of us.

This week-end and next (June 8-10) is the Annual Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival. If you are planning a vist here, take the time to dine at one of our restaurants and listen to local artists.
