Gladiolus Thief

This was moments before she cleared the gladiolus buds from their stems like spaghetti. Once finished, she rolled on the grass like a puppy, fell asleep and enjoyed the afternoon sea breeze, in the shade of the red cedars. We have seen a pair of fawn twins roaming around too. Taking a pic is difficlut as they are always in the shade and I just don't want to frighten them.

We are seeing so many international guest this year. At the moment, a woman from Germany has seen her daughter wed and spending time with her new family. Even though we have a language barrier, we have a connection, both of us wishing our language skills were better. I will miss her when she departs. An older couple from France stayed one night. They are cycling Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, then taking a train to Alberta. They are so fit! Am surpised that they didn't eat more, they sure burn it off. I have a reservation from a guest in The Netherlands. this is what having a BB is all about, meeting people from close by and afar. Sharing this westcoast flora and fauna.
