After watering the deck plants, I sit with a cup of tea and magazine outside. On the tip of my nose I feel tiny feet and then a teeny-weeny-
itsy-
bitsy spider drops down. (If you take a fine-tipped felt pen and make a dot, this is how big they are) I faithfully pickup the spider on the magazine (where it fell) and take it home. These spiders have just hatched. By simply touching this leaf, a 1 inch ball of brown, living mass spreads very quickly in all directions. Hundreds of orb spiders, impossible to see unless you look for them. In two days they will be gone into the forest and no one the wiser with nothing left but a mat of silk. How did the spider get on my nose you ask? I was checking out that ball of babies, my nose brushed the leaf and all hell broke loose. Thought I had them all off me, guess not. Thought wrong.
