Good Morning

My guests wake up to the sound of the ocean and the neighbours rooster. When I wake up, I feel and smell the forest. OK, that is, after I have fed the cat and made that first cuppa. Our back porch is yet another place of restfulness and solitude on this property. This is what we see, having left this old-growth-cedar outhouse to decay and slowly crumble with time. The red squirrels still use the outhouse as headquarters for pine cone stashes. The deer trails are well worn, the birds are starting to migrate and life in our forest is very quiet.

September is a wonderful time to visit the Sunshine Coast. The Autumn colours, the coolness of the nights, even the ferries are not as busy. Come for a visit. Deer Fern (Ocean View) Bed and Breakfast Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada. What's not to love.
