What the.......

I have counted 8 robins bathing at the same time today. 2 fledglings from the nest were in it as well. Water in constant motion and I, having to fill the bowl in-between flocks. They are leaving town and stop by for a drink and a splash. In the midst of this flurry a new head pops up from the depths of the pool. A northern flicker. I took more than 85 pictures and in that time, each picture better than the last. This robin never left and simply moved around the waters edge as the flicker dove in and out, perhaps 3 times.

Our black bear graced us with its presence other day, a rare occasion. Often their scat is in the ravine, telling me they are here. This time we watched s/he travel past our property so quickly there was no time for a proper photo.

Tonight the termites are in flight, a good night for bat watching.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
