Metric

Another 15cm of snow fell last night, bringing the total to a gazillion cm's. Note: For those who think in imperial measurements, a gazillion cm is equivalent to inches once it reaches zero. The moment the sun comes around and makes it possible to see outside in the morning, Kathi's Kafé is open. A path is carved to the boulder and the table is set. Today, yes, you got it, another giddy moment. Here, right here, the picture above, a Downy Woodpecker. This little lady has discovered breakfast and I have discovered her.

She has made a clean sweep of the exterior of the house. Any spiders that made it through the winter are now in her tummy. This nature writing gig just gets better and better. Yes, I do have a picture of the thrush. Wait for it.........
